A Kidney for Collin

Collin Berg is a 13 year old Holy Cross student in need of a kidney transplant. He was born with a rare genetic disorder called PKD, Polycystic Kidney Disease. If a child with PKD survives the newborn period, the chances of survival are good. For these children, approximately one-third will need dialysis or transplantation by the age of 10. Collin has reached the point where he needs a transplant, his mother Karen will be the donor. However, both Karen and his father Chris will need to take time off of their jobs for a while after the procedure. Combined with the medical bills they will be facing, Chris and Karen will struggle financially to make ends meet. We are having a fundraiser to help the family.
